About

Kwesi Salman-Bailey was born in 1993 in San Francisco, California at the beginning of a culturally revolutionary era for music and media diversity.
He grew up with a single mother and was bicoastal, visiting his father in Brooklyn as soon as he was old enough to fly alone. 

Throughout his childhood Kwesi was exposed to many influences, people and experiences alike, thus expending an observant eye. Between the hustle of his father in New York, and his humble beginnings with his mother in The Bay, the rough edges created a soft heart for human interest.  

He was the first of his family to graduate college, and received his Cinema B.A. at San Francisco State University with a documentary emphasis. 

Currently based in Los Angeles, Kwesi moved up in the ranks of production from behind the scenes photo/video to production assistant and eventually Assistant Directing and Producing videos and content for a variety of musical acts and personalities worldwide.

Inspired by the people and cultures of other cities and countries, Kwesi looks to document the truths of the world as they are through travels, fashion, sports and instinct; telling a story through the lens of someone with something to say.
